Two Blue Raiders land All-American efforts at NCAAs

Choge, Rutto jumpstart MT in Eugene
EUGENE, Ore. — On day one of the NCAA Track and Field Outdoor Championships, a pair of Blue Raiders claimed All-American accolades as Eliud Rutto and Jacob Choge kicked off the week for the Blue Raiders.
Rutto capped his Blue Raider career garnering Honorable Mention All-American accolades. The senior clocked a time of 1:50.54 to finish 24th overall. Thursday's performance also marks the seventh All-American honor throughout his collegiate track and field career.
Choge finished the 10000-meter run with a time of 29:25.64 for a 14th-place finish to take home Second Team All-American honors in his first trip to the NCAA Outdoor Championships.
Choge is also set to compete in the 5000-meter run Friday night.
The Blue Raiders return to the track Thursday as Abike Egbeniyi and Agnes Abu take the stage in the women's 800-meter run. The qualifying round is set for 8:14 p.m.
