Fish Fry Flyer
MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – Prepare yourself for one of the most anticipated events in Blue Raider Baseball.
For the first time in its 35 year tradition, the John Stanford Grand Slam Fish Fry will
take place at the Grove at Williamson Place on Tuesday, October 24th at 6 pm.
2017 marks the fifth year the fish fry has been named in honor of former Blue Raider athletics director and baseball head coach John Stanford.
"Coach Stanford's legacy is still a major part of Blue Raider baseball," McGuire said. "We decided to honor the legacy of Coach Stanford by naming the fish fry in his honor. Fund-raising was such a big part of what Coach Stanford and Coach (Steve) Peterson did to move this program along, and we continue to do that, but it just seemed right to name this event in Coach Stanford's honor and the feedback has been great."
Along with the traditional fried catfish, Cajun gumbo and hot dogs will also be served by the Krewe de Blue. Live music will also be performed by the Russ & Becky Jeffers Country Band for crowd entertainment. There will also be Blue Raider sports memorabilia items available during live and silent auctions.
Tickets are $25 in advance, $30 at the door and children ages six and under are admitted for free. They can be purchased either in person at the athletic ticket office located at Gate 1A of Floyd Stadium, on GoBlueRaiders.com or calling 615-898-5261.
For more information, please call 615-898-2450. Proceeds from the John Stanford Grand Slam Fish Fry benefit the Blue Raider baseball program.
