Raiders make return trip to Lady Paladin Invitational

MT looking to repeat Top 5 finish
GREENVILLE, S.C. – Head Coach Chris Adams and the Blue Raider women's golf team are back in action Friday as they tee off at the Lady Paladin Invitational in Greenville, S.C.
The tournament, hosted by Furman, will be held at the Par 72, 6,278-yard Furman University Golf Course. Middle Tennessee is competing in the event for the second season in a row.
Joining the Blue Raiders and host Paladins in the field are Conference USA challenger Southern Miss as well as in-state foes Chattanooga, East Tennessee State and Memphis.
Augusta, Daytona State, Georgia Southern, Georgia State, James Madison, Kennesaw State, LSU, Ole Miss, UNC Wilmington, Virginia Tech and Western Carolina round out the 17-team field.
The Blue Raiders are one of 10 teams who are returning to the field from last season, when Middle Tennessee logged a solid fifth-place finish at 6-over par (282-301-287=870). Of the other nine returners, only Furman (-9, 855) and Augusta (+2, 866) finished ahead of MT.
Middle Tennessee had a trio of Top 15 finishers in Greenville last season, led by Hanley Long's 1-under par (74-73-68=215) performance and Jenna Burris's even-par (69-74-73=216) finish.
Savannah Quick will lead things off for the Blue Raiders off the first tee on Friday at 9:30 a.m. CT, followed by Cynthia Bounleutay, Caroline Caudill, Long and Burris.
