DePriest's Early Goal Gives MT 1-0 Win over FAU

BOCA RATON, Fla. – In their first conference road match of the year, the Middle Tennessee women's soccer team came away with a 1-0 victory over Florida Atlantic. MT is now 4-5, 1-1 on the year.
Peyton DePriest registered her sixth goal of the season to give MT the win. Her goal came in the 14th minute of action as Amber Hoot flipped a ball over the defensive line for DePriest to run on to, she then shot it up and over the goalkeeper.
Hoot took five shots in the match, registering the only other shot on goal following DePriest's game winner.
Sydney Chalcraft came up big in goal for the Raiders, making a season-high eight saves to earn her second shutout of the year.

- Peyton DePriest's six goals is the fastest of any MT player to reach the mark in at least the past two seasons
- The 1-0 win is Middle's first conference win since Oct. 8 2016
- Sydney Chalcraft's eight saves are a season-high and match a career-high
- Amber Hoot's five shots are the most by a single player since DePriest took five against Austin Peay on Aug. 20
