Lady Raiders Set to Host North Texas

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – The Middle Tennessee women's basketball team looks to continue upon its successful weekend in Texas, advancing to 2-2 in Conference USA play after claiming wins over UTSA and UTEP this past weekend.
Middle Tennessee is set to host the North Texas Mean Green on Thursday, Jan. 18 at 6:30 p.m. in the Murphy Center.
Scouting the Mean Green (11-5, 2-2)
Similar to the Lady Raiders, North Texas opened conference play with a 0-2 slate after falling to LA Tech and Rice. However, the Mean Green recorded their first two wins of C-USA play over Old Dominion and Charlotte last weekend.
Overall, North Texas creates a +6.9 (13.8-20.7) turnover margin over its competitors while averaging 9.8 steals per game.
The North Texas offense is paced by redshirt-junior guard Terriell Bradley who averages 17.6 points per game. Bradley adds 40 assists and 29 steals in her 542 minutes of playing time this season.
Lady Raiders Move to 2-2 in C-USA Play After Successful Weekend in Texas
The Lady Raiders picked up their first two conference wins of the season over UTSA and UTEP last weekend.
Junior Jess Louro guided Middle Tennessee to a 62-47 victory over UTSA hitting 5-of-7 baskets from the field and 4-of-5 from distance to notch 15 points in the contest.
Similarly, freshman Anna Jones paced the Lady Raider offense a 54-45 win over UTEP on Saturday. Jones recorded eight 3-point baskets in the contest to mark the most from distance inked by a freshman in a single game.

The Lady Raiders continue Conference USA action in Murfreesboro this weekend, hosting the Southern Miss Golden Eagles this Saturday, Jan. 20 at 1 p.m. in the Murphy Center.
