MURFREESBORO, Tenn.—Blue Raider Sports Properties announces Murfreesboro-based builder Ole South Properties has reached a 3-year partnership agreement to become the Official Home Builder of MT Athletics.
According to Ole South President John Floyd, the partnership was purposely developed with a home-team theme to showcase Ole South's support for MT Athletics as Murfreesboro's hometown team.
"Murfreesboro is our hometown, and the Blue Raiders are our home team," Floyd said.
"As the number-one home builder in Tennessee, we wanted to create a partnership illustrating our commitment to MTSU and felt by everyone in the Middle Tennessee region."
MTSU Director of Athletics, Chris Massaro, echoed Floyd's sentiments. "We are thrilled to partner with John and Ole South Properties. They are winners and care about their hometown team. It is always great to team up with someone who is number 1 in their field. We are grateful for their continued support as we seek to build upon our national brand. John and his team truly epitomize Our Town Our Team."
Zach Huston, Business Development Manager at Blue Raider Sports Properties, says the partnership's hometown theme was a natural outgrowth of what was already a great relationship between two of the driving economic forces of the Middle Tennessee region.
"Ole South Properties has been a great neighbor to us for a long time, so positioning them as hometown supporters for the hometown team was a natural fit," Huston said.
"This partnership aligns Ole South Properties with MT Athletics, the MTSU sports fan, and the MTSU community."
While working to create the partnership, Huston noted Floyd's insistence that the relationship not only benefit MT Athletics and other campus stakeholders, but also positively impact the Middle Tennessee region on a larger scale.
Accordingly, Ole South Properties will partner with Second Harvest Food Bank for a free-throw promotion during MT men's basketball games.
For every free throw made by the MT men's basketball team during its nine Conference USA home games, Ole South Properties will donate 100 meals to the Second Harvest Food Bank of Middle Tennessee to help struggling Middle Tennessee families.
Trey Lewis, vice president of sales for Ole South Properties, said Ole South had long been a supporter of MT Athletics, but that the partnership would make that status official: "The continued growth and success of Middle Tennessee State University as the largest undergraduate institution in the state directly relates to the continued growth and success of Ole South. Over the years, we have built many new homes for MTSU faculty, staff, and alumni, and we look forward to building many more."
Huston added that the themed partnership would be able to effectively harness the synergies between MT Athletics and Ole South.
"Connecting the number-one home builder in the state of Tennessee with the passionate fan base of MT Athletics and the Murfreesboro community is a clear win for everyone involved," Huston said.
