AUGUSTA, Ga. – Middle Tennessee put together its best round of the weekend Sunday to move up one spot into eighth place in the 3M Augusta Invitational.

The Blue Raiders used a 4-over 292, the fourth best round in the field on the final day, to finish at 32-over par (306-298-292=896) for the week.

Junior Hanley Long carded a 1-over 73 on the final day to finish 2-over (76-69-73=218) and tied for 12th place, her second consecutive Top 15 finish to start the spring.

Redshirt junior Jenna Burris bounced back with a 1-under 71 on Sunday to move into the Top 25, finishing in a tie for 22nd at 7-over par (74-78-71=223). Meanwhile, freshman Caroline Caudill narrowly missed the Top 25, finishing tied for 28th and one stroke back of Burris at 8-over par (77-73-74=224).

Redshirt junior Jenna Burris logged her seventh round of par or better of the season on Sunday after junior Hanley Long carded her eighth of the year on Saturday
Junior Hanley Long finished tied for sixth in Par 4 scoring (E, 4.00) and tied for 24^th in Par 5 scoring (E, 5.00) while freshman Savannah Quick was tied for fifth in the field of 87 golfers in Par 3 scoring (E, 3.00)
As a team, Middle Tennessee finished fourth in the field in birdies (36) thanks to 11 from Burris, 10 from Long and six each from Caudill and Burks
Middle Tennessee's round of 4-over 292 on Sunday was bested only by Augusta (287), Purdue (289) and Georgia (291)
