Raiders Travel to Nashville for Black and Gold Invitational

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Middle Tennessee track and field team's travel to Nashville to compete in the Black and Gold Invitational this weekend. The invitational is hosted by Vanderbilt University.

The meet will commence at 4 p.m. on Friday, March 23 with the field events followed by the running events at 5:00 p.m.

Issac Odugbesan will be the first Blue Raider to take the field in the shot put event. Odugbesan enters the meet as the top seed after his school record-breaking performance last weekend at the Yellow Jacket Invitational.

Middle Tennessee enters the contest with four Blue Raiders in top-20 positions, nationally.

Likewise on Saturday afternoon, the team will start on the field at 10 a.m. while the running events will begin at noon.

After competing in the Black and Gold Invitational, the team will travel to Cape Girardeau, Mo. to compete in the Joey Haines Invitational on Friday, March 31.
