Raiders Claim Five Top Finishes at the Black and Gold Invitational

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Five Blue Raiders claim top finishes during the final day of the Black and Gold Invitational.
Qetuwrah Abdullah-Muhammad claimed a first place position in the women's high jump with a height of 1.71m. Similarly, Jacob Patten clinched a first place finish in the men's high jump with a height of 2.10m.
Elizabeth Dadzie inked a third place finish (14.21) in the women's 100-meter hurdles followed by Abdullah-Muhammad who finished in ninth place (14.79).
Meanwhile, Abike Egbeniyi (53.13), Joycelyn Assafuah (54.32) and Loveth Odia (56.20) claimed the top-three positions in the women's 400-meter dash.
Likewise, Jaquez Torian claimed a first place finish on the men's side in the 400-meter with a time of 48.08.
Edidiong Odiong claimed a first place finish in the women's 100-meter event with a time of 11.64 followed by Cecilia Francis who claimed a third place position in the event (11.80). Similarly, in the men's 100-meter event Solomon Afful claimed a second place finish in the 100-meter event with a time of 10.63.
The Blue Raiders will return to the track on Saturday, March 31 for the Joey Haines Invitational in Cape Girardeau, Mo.
