Raiders Wrap Up Day One at the NCAA Indoor Championships

COLLEGE STATION, Texas – Agnes Abu and Abike Egbeniyi wrapped up day one of the NCAA Indoor Track and Field preliminary events on Friday. Abu entered the race tied as the number one seed with a time of 2:02.30 while Egbeniyi ranked fifteenth (2:04.11).
Egbeniyi posted the fastest time of the two (2:05.78) to finish twelfth in the preliminary 800-meter event. While Abu recorded a fourteenth place finish crossing the line at the 2:07.36 mark.
Tomorrow Kigen Chemadi will race on the Gilliam Indoor Track to compete in the 3,000-meter run. Chemadi is seeded fourteenth with a time of 7:58.42.
