Blue Raiders tied for 11th at Mason Rudolph

Tough, windy day in Nashville
FRANKLIN, Tenn. – Middle Tennessee battled a tough 36-hole day in windy conditions to post rounds of 299 and 304 to open play at the 2018 Mason Rudolph Championship in a tie for 11th. The tournament is being held at the Vanderbilt Legends Club South Course which is a par-71, 7,100-yard setup.
No. 46 Liberty leads the tournament at 2-over par with No. 7 Alabama in second at 4-over and host No. 4 Vanderbilt in third at 7-over.
Chip Thomas paced the way for the Blue Raiders on Friday with a pair of 74s. Thomas is tied for 21st and posted five birdies on the day.
Marcus Byrd and James Beckner are both tied for 38th overall. Byrd carded rounds of 76-75, while Beckner turned in 74-77. Byrd and Beckner both registered five birdies each on the day.
Tyler Johnson sits at 12-over par with rounds of 75-79 and is tied for 62nd. Johnson had four birdies over his 36 holes.
Ilari Saulo had rounds of 78-78 and sits in 70th position.
Tanner Owens played as an individual and is tied for 71st.
The team is scheduled to play Saturday but it will all depend on the weather. If play is cancelled Saturday then the final round will be played Sunday.
