Raiders Set For Penn Relays, Invitational at Louisville

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – The Blue Raiders prepare for two contests this weekend including the Penn Relays in Philadelphia, P.A. on Thursday, April 28 to Saturday, April 28 and the Lenny Lyles and Clark Wood Invitational on Saturday, April 28 in Louisville, K.Y.
Middle Tennessee will open action at the Penn Relays on Thursday will relay and distance events. The squad will first compete in the women's 4x100 and 4x400 relays before Jacob Choge (5,000-meter), Kigen Chemadi (5,000-meter), Geoffry Cheruiyot (3,000-meter steeplechase), Joice Jebor (5,000-meter) and Rachel Kigen (5,000-meter) compete in their respective distance events.
On Friday, the men will get the day started with their relays (4x100, 4x200, 4x400) before both the men and the women's teams compete in the distance medley relay.
Jacob Patten will conclude the events on Saturday on the field in the high jump event.
Likewise, the team will compete against a field of 20 teams at the Lenny Lyles and Clark Wood Invitational including C-USA foe Western Kentucky and in-state rival Tennessee Tech.
Up next, the Blue Raiders will take a weekend off before traveling to Houston, Texas to compete in the Conference USA Outdoor Track and Field Championships on Thursday, May 10 through Sunday, May 13.
