Freshman named honorable mention by GCAA
MURFREESBORO, Tenn. - Middle Tennessee freshman golfer Jason Millard was one of the top individuals at the NCAA Division I National Championships when he finished tied for 18th on the treacherous Pete Dye-designed Kampen Course in West Lafayette, Ind. The Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) regarded him as one of the nation's top golfers when the organization named him honorable mention All-American.

Blue Raiders to play in Callaway Golf Match Play Championship
MURFREESBORO, Tenn. - Middle Tennessee's success on the links in 2007-08 is already paying dividends for the upcoming men's golf season. The Blue Raiders earned, and accepted, an invitation to play in the Callaway Golf Collegiate Match Play Championship at The Farms Golf Club in Rancho Santa Fe, Calif., based on their finish at this year's NCAA Division I Men's Golf National Championship.

The Middle Tennessee men's golf team made history throughout the season and capped a memorable campaign by making the cut at the NCAA National Golf Championships, where the team finished 15th nationally. It marked the first time in school history that a MT team was playing on the final day of its sports respective National Championships. MURFREESBORO, Tenn. - A reception for the Middle Tennessee golf team will be held at Coach's Grill in Murfreesboro when the team returns to Murfreesboro Saturday evening. Their estimated time of arrival at the Murfreesboro Municipal Airport is 7 p.m., and the Blue Raiders should arrive at Coach's between 7:15-to-7:30 p.m.
