A two-year player and starter at center after transferring from Kentucky, Clark Maples was one of the OVC's top defensive linemen during his years on the field for MT. As a member of Coach Charles "Bubber" Murphy's football squad, he helped lead the Blue Raiders to a two-year record of 15-4-1 with one OVC title.
Maples love for his alma mater and for athletic competition never waned after graduation. A fixture at Blue Raider athletic events, he was the No. 1 fan for dozens of MT athletes.
