A receiver for the Blue Raiders between 1964-67, Herbert Owenby's blazing speed made opposing defenses sit up and take notice of the threat of long touchdown passes. Owenby still holds several MT records. He tied for all-time touchdown receptions in a game with three and for third in career receptions with 110 and led the team in receptions in 1967 with 32. His 1,757 receiving yards has ranked him second. He finished his career with 21 touchdown receptions.
