Homer Pittard's well-earned reputation as one of MT's finest football lineman allowed him to claim the slot of team captain in his junior year. The consummate athlete, Pittard stood 6'3" and his imposing height made him a standout in the era in which he played. He used his physique and strength to overpower opponents and dominate the line of scrimmage.
Director of MT Alumni Relations for many years, Pittard was among the MT alumni whose tireless work led to the formation of the Rose and Emmett Kennon Blue Raider Sports Hall of Fame.
