Laura Miguez (Howarth)

Laura Miguez finished her illustrious soccer career at Middle Tennessee as the all-time leader in points (87), goals (28) and assists (31), playing for coach Aston Rhoden in the then-fledgling soccer program from 2001-to-04. Miguez helped lead the Blue Raiders to their first soccer championship in 2004. A three-time All-Sun Belt Conference selection, she remains the all-time record holder in assists and is currently third in points and sixth in goals in the record books. She is in the top 10 in 11 different career categories and holds three of the top 10 single-season assist totals. As a freshman, she once totaled four assists in one game, also a school record. Laura started 78 games for the Blue Raiders and led her team to a 43-32-5 record during her career. She was also on the Sun Belt Academic Honor Roll in 2002, 2003, and 2004. She was awarded with a spot on the All-Time Sun Belt Soccer Team in 2005.
