Max Arnold
- Induction:
- 1994
- Class:
- 1950
A native of Normandy, Tenn., Max Arnold moved to Tullahoma and played tailback for Tullahoma High School. His outstanding performance won him a chance to go to the University of Tennessee under Coach John Barnhill. After only one year of play, he enlisted in the military. Arnold opted out of following Coach Barnhill to the University of Arkansas and instead enrolled at MT with his old friend, Billy Gunn.
Arnold quickly distinguished himself on the practice field and in games as a star worthy of his reputation. A loyal alumnus, he later was a member of the MT National Alumni Board.
