Miles "Moe" Baskin
- Induction:
- 1992
- Class:
- 1938
A native of Pulaski, Tenn., Myles "Moe" Baskin was a single-wing fullback and blocking back as well as a lineman in football for fellow Hall of Famer, Coach Johnny "Red" Floyd. During his play on the MT gridiron, the team accrued a 21-2-1 record. He also was a catcher for the Blue Raider baseball squad.
With the threat of war in Europe and the Pacific growing, Baskin left MT in the late 1930s to work for public utilities and to serve his country in World War II. He returned to MT in 1950 as a student before moving on to work in the private sector.
