Drafted in the 30th round of the NFL by Baltimore in 1956, he rushed for 462 yards on 86 attempts as a fullback in 1956 to go along with three touchdowns. Terry Led Middle Tennessee to its first-ever bowl game as the Blue Raiders played Sam Houston State in the Refrigerator Bowl. He also led the Blue Raiders in rushing with 563 yards in 1955. He lettered in 1955 and 1956.
