Drafted in the 30th round of the NFL by Baltimore in 1956, he rushed for 462 yards on 86 attempts as a fullback in 1956 to go along with three touchdowns. Terry Led Middle Tennessee to its first-ever bowl game as the Blue Raiders played Sam Houston State in the Refrigerator Bowl. He also led the Blue Raiders in rushing with 563 yards in 1955.
