Baseball Season Ticket Sales Extended to March 1

Season ticket sales for the 2002 baseball season have been extended until March 1 due to overwhelming demand, according to Cindy Randles, MT Ticket Manager.
Less than 10 of the 285 chair back season tickets remain for the 2002 season. Chair back seats can be purchased for $64, a savings of over $85 if those seats were bought at the $5 single-game price.
An unlimited amount of family and single bleacher passes remain for $50 and $35 respectively.
"We had an outstanding crowd of over 2,300 on hand for opening day on Sunday, showing that the Murfreesboro community is interested in supporting our baseball program. Our season ticket sales have been the best ever and we are glad to be able to offer our fans that haven't been able to get their tickets yet a little more time to do just that," said MT athletic director Boots Donnelly.
According to the MT ticket office, in excess of 600 baseball season tickets have already been sold.
The Blue Raider baseball team set the single game and season attendance records last season behind an outstanding 41-17 campaign and a run to the Sun Belt championship. That fan support continued in earnest on Sunday when 2,317 were on hand for the largest opening day crowd in Middle Tennessee baseball history.
The Blue Raiders embark on their first road swing of the season with three games at Troy State beginning on Friday. The team will return home for a two-game series against Eastern Michigan on Feb. 26-27.
Fans wishing to purchase season tickets can do so by visiting the MT Ticket Office or by calling 1-888-YES-MTSU.
