MT Adorns New Phone Book

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. - Middle Tennessee Athletics will have another first this season. A photographic montage on the cover of the Murfreesboro Real Yellow Pages from BellSouth will feature Blue Raider Athletics.
"Middle Tennessee and the Blue Raider Athletics program is such an asset to Tennessee and especially the middle Tennessee community, we were delighted to see the partnership with BellSouth Advertising and Publishing Corporation displaying the Blue Raider Athletics Department on the cover of the Murfreesboro Real Yellow Pages," said BellSouth spokesperson Lanie
Johnson.
"The Murfreesboro Real Yellow Pages will go into virtually every home and business in Rutherford County," explained Mike Snow of BellSouth Advertising
and Publishing. "We have 113,654 copies coming off the press and they will begin to be delivered on Wednesday."
The photo features former student-athletes Jamie Thomatis and Kendall Newson along with several fans showing their Blue Raider spirit. There is also a
small article about the photo inside the book.
"This is a big step for our athletic program," related athletic director Boots Donnelly. "To be on the cover of the Real Yellow pages is an honor for our program. It's one more piece of the puzzle. I think it shows the citizens of this county that a company like BellSouth realizes the importance of our athletic program to the overall fabric of family life in this area."
An oversized version of the cover is located in the athletic department and will be on display at different athletic venues during the upcoming school
year.
