Short signs player from England

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. - Middle Tennessee Head Women's Golf Coach Rachael Short announced today the signing of Clara Leathers to a scholarship agreement. Leathers makes her way to Murfreesboro from Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire, England.
"We are very excited to get a player of her caliber," said Short. "Clara is a very mature player who has a tremendous amount of tournament experience. She is a big hitter and someone who I feel will come in and make an immediate impact in our program."
Leathers recently led her team to the 2005 South East Schools Championship where she finished second overall and qualified for the national final. Leathers is also a former Ladies Club Champion, a County Champion, a two-time BB&O Champion (three county's combined), and the Ellesborough Junior Champion.
An excellent student, Leathers also competed in basketball, netball, and track for Aylesbury High School.
