MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – With spring practice in full swing and two matches already under its belt, the Middle Tennessee soccer program has announced four upcoming contests in Murfreesboro among its six remaining games. Three of the four matches will be played on-campus at the Dean A. Hayes Track and Soccer Stadium with the other contest off-campus at Siegel Park.

The quartet begins at 6 p.m. Saturday, March 31 at Siegel Park against Austin Peay. The two teams have met just three times over the years during the regular fall campaigns, but not since 2009 when the Blue Raiders captured a 5-0 decision in Clarksville, Tenn.

The following Saturday, April 7, Middle Tennessee plays host to Murray State at Noon at its on-campus facility. Again, the two programs have met just three times, although the most recent meeting has been 2002, MT head coach Aston Rhoden’s first season. The Blue Raiders prevailed by a 2-1 score in Murray, Ky.

Following a road trip to Knoxville, Tenn., to face Tusculum and Tennessee the following Saturday, Middle Tennessee returns home Sunday, April 15 to battle its alumni at 2 p.m. at Dean A. Hayes Track and Soccer Stadium.

The spring concludes April 21 with a 2 p.m. home match against Belmont at Dean A. Hayes Track and Soccer Stadium. The two teams met last year in exhibition action in Nashville with the Blue Raiders posting a 3-0 victory.
