MURFREESBORO – The Middle Tennessee-BYU football game set for Saturday at Floyd Stadium plans to draw a large crowd so to help make the Gameday experience a positive one please plan to arrive early and get familiar with pregame and postgame parking instructions.
All fans who do not have reserved parking permits for Parking Areas W, D or G should approach campus from the east via Rutherford Blvd.
The information below is provided to make your visit to campus a more pleasurable one. Please print a copy or study this page closely before Gameday. This information can also be obtained on the Gameday Central page on the football portion of GoBlueRaiders.com.
BYU FANS PREGAME
A designated tailgate area for BYU fans will be located near the Livestock Center and the soccer practice facility off of Greenland Drive. When arriving to campus off of I-24 please use Exit 81 and go north on 231. About two miles ahead, take a right onto South Rutherford Boulevard. You will stay on this about 5 miles when you will take a left onto Greenland Drive. Less than a mile ahead, take a left onto Blue Raider Drive and your parking area will be to the right.
BYU FANS POSTGAME
All cars leaving Blue Raider Drive and the Livestock area will be asked to turn right toward North Rutherford Boulevard. This will take you back the direction you came when coming to the game.
PERMIT HOLDERS
Campus parking lots are identified by a one or two letter designation designed to help you more easily locate your assigned parking area. The map located on GoBlueRaiders.com provides detail as to each lot's location. Please familiarize yourself with the location of your parking area.
Fans not destined for Areas G, W or D should avoid Greenland Drive.
If your permit indicates Areas H, L, P or RS, you should enter campus via MTSU Blvd. from Rutherford Blvd. Due to construction, access the interior lots by continuing straight through the roundabout on MTSU Blvd. and turning right onto Founders Lane.
Area M permit holders should enter campus via Old Main Circle from East Main Street.
GENERAL EVENT PARKING
Fans seeking public parking should approach campus on Rutherford Blvd., avoiding Greenland Drive. Parking is available free of charge to the general public at the following locations:
Across from Greek Row on Rutherford Boulevard
Along MTSU Boulevard and around the Softball Field
At the corner of Bell Street and Middle Tennessee Boulevard
Near the Livestock Center off Greenland Drive
AFTER THE GAME
Greenland Drive Parking Lot
Having every vehicle in the Greenland Drive lot heading in the same direction and following the parking attendants will move fans in a more timely and organized manner. All vehicles will proceed south (towards Floyd Stadium) around the perimeter of the lot, highlighted by orange traffic cones. All BRAA members parking in the grass area or the handicap lot next to the Kennon Hall of Fame building will follow the same path, turning to the right.
Murfreesboro Police will then direct all vehicles to exit through the traffic light onto Old Lascassas Road where the two exit lanes will merge into one lane at Brown Drive. Fans will then have multiple opportunities to turn off Old Lascassas Road in the direction of their destination. MPD will have officers at the Rutherford Blvd. and Old Lascassas Road intersection to assist you in making a left or right turn onto Rutherford Blvd.
H, L, P or RS Lots
Fans should exit campus via MTSU Boulevard or Lightning Way heading east towards Rutherford Boulevard. Champions Way will be closed after the first quarter. You will not be able to exit campus on Champions way after the game.
BRAA PERMIT HOLDERS
You must access the Greenland Drive Lot via Middle Tennessee Boulevard or Old Lascassas Highway.
NON-PERMIT HOLDERS
Fans seeking public parking should approach campus on Rutherford Boulevard, avoiding Greenland Drive. Access to all other campus lots is permitted via MTSU Boulevard from Rutherford Boulevard near Greek Row.
MIDGETT AND TOWER PERMIT HOLDERS
These fans are encouraged to enter campus on Old Main Circle via East Main Street to avoid Greenland Drive congestion.
THE FOLLOWING PARKING LOCATIONS HAVE RESTRICTED ACCESS:
Greenland Drive, Middle Tennessee lot and the Holmes lot will be restricted all day on Gameday for BRAA member parking and tailgating.
Parking adjacent to the Midgett Building on Faulkinberry Drive will be reserved for VIP/BRAA use and the Nursing lot (adjacent to Reese Smith Jr. Field) is reserved for media/staff.
