MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – Baseball America released its list of the top college summer league prospects Tuesday as incoming outfielder Ronnie Jebavy of the Blue Raider baseball team was ranked the third-best player in the Prospect League.
Twenty leagues represented by 238 players from around the country made up the list that featured some of the best players from the SEC, ACC, Pac-12, Big 12, Big Ten and also prospects that have signed major league contracts. Jebavy was one of 10 players to represent Conference USA.
Jebavy was placed behind Danville Dans teammate C.J. Burdick (San Diego) and top prospect Ronnie Dawson (Ohio State) of the Chillicothe Paints.
The outfielder was named to the list after finishing fourth in the league with a .293 average from the dish while ending the year tied for a team-best 31 runs scored and second with 60 hits, and led the Dans with 14 doubles and 20 extra-base hits.
Jebavy notched a hit in 35 of 54 games he appeared in, including an impressive .555 (10-18) from the plate in the final four contests of the season.
The Murfreesboro native will look to make an immediate impact to a Blue Raider team that finished 31-27 last season and ended the year with a solid finish winning seven of their last 10 contests.
