Will continue to host coaches' radio shows
MURFREESBORO, Tenn. - Sam's Sports Grill and Blue Raider Sports Properties, the exclusive multimedia rights holder for Middle Tennessee State, have agreed to a five-year extension of their partnership to keep the radio shows for Blue Raider football, men's basketball, and women's basketball at the popular eatery through the 2019-2020 season.
In addition, Sam's Sports Grill has become the Official Postgame Destination for Blue Raider Fans.
Sam's Sports Grill opened their Murfreesboro location in January of 2013 in time for Super Bowl Sunday and quickly forged a partnership with Blue Raider Athletics. As part of a broad-based partnership, they became the host site for the Rick Stockstill, Kermit Davis, and Rick Insell LIVE! radio programs on the Blue Raider Network in the fall of 2013.
"Sam's has been an engaged partner," said Blue Raider Network Director of Broadcasting Chip Walters. "They go out of their way to welcome Blue Raider fans and provide a great atmosphere and terrific food and service."
The first football radio show for this season will be Monday, Aug. 31 from 7-8 p.m. prior to the Middle Tennessee vs. Jackson State game. The remaining shows will be on Monday nights prior to each game.
"Just one great partnership with the right person can have an incredible impact on your business success," said Murfreesboro Sam's general manager Roger Timmons. "We're honored to represent MTSU and be a meeting place for its fans for years to come!"
In addition to their location in Murfreesboro, Sam's Sports Grill has locations in downtown Nashville, Hendersonville, Decatur (AL), Florence (AL) and at The Cove on Old Hickory Lake.
Blue Raider Sports Properties is a property of Learfield Sports, which manages the multimedia rights for more than 100 collegiate properties. The company's rich history includes four decades of developing trusted, long-term relationships with some of the most revered institutions and associations in the world of college sports.
