Men's golf ready for AutoTrader.com Classic

Back in action after 2-week break
MURFREESBORO – After a nice break, the Middle Tennessee men's golf team will step back into action at this week's AutoTrader.com Collegiate Classic in Duluth, GA. The tournament will be held Oct. 17-18 at the Berkeley Hills Country Club and hosted by Georgia State.
The 13-team field includes Georgia State, Chattanooga, Francis Marion, Georgia Southern, Lipscomb, Middle Tennessee, UNC Greensboro, Ole Miss, Richmond, South Florida, Troy, Winthrop and Yale.
A practice round will be held Sunday and then 36 holes will be played Monday and the final 18 on Tuesday. Berkeley Hill is a par 72, 6,694-yard course.
The Blue Raiders, ranked No. 53 by Golfstat and No. 57 by Golfweek, have enjoyed a strong spring with a win and a top five finish in three events.
The lineup this week for Brennan Webb's team will be senior Joey Savoie, freshman Ilari Saulo, sophomore Marcus Byrd, freshman Chip Thomas and senior Connor Slane. Drake Duncan will be playing as an individual.
Savoie leads the team with a 72.6 stroke average followed closely by Byrd's 73.0. Saulo is next with a 73.3 while Thomas and Slane both card a 74.0.
Blue Raider fans can follow the event on golfstat.com as there will be live scoring every three holes.
