Hawaiian Q&A with Josh Chester

While the Blue Raiders are practicing at home in preparation for the 2016 Hawaii Bowl, GoBlueRaiders.com will talk to various players about their upcoming trip to the island. Today's brief Q&A is with offensive lineman Josh Chester.
Have you ever been to Hawaii?
Absolutely not.
What's one thing you're looking forward to other than the weather?
Going to Pearl Harbor, for sure.
What are your feelings on pineapple and spam?
That's not really an ideal combination, but it's Hawaii. It will be alright.
Are you looking forward to Hawaii more than you were the Bahama's last year?
That's a tough one. I guess you can ask me that question after we get back from the trip. The flight is definitely going to be the downside of it all, but it's nothing we can't deal with. I think it will be fun, if not more fun.
How will you keep yourself busy on the flight?
I usually bring movies or download them. Hunter Rogers showed me how to use Amazon video to download them to your phone when you don't have service.
Who has the best hula dance on the team?
Tristan Walker. He's always dancing and doing something.
How many Hawaiian shirts do you own?
Actually, Coach Brock has given me some in the past. I probably have about three or four – I'm definitely packing those.
What guy is most likely to throw on a coconut bra when you're there?
Probably Bones [Jeremy Cutrer]. Or Tristan Walker, I'm not sure. That's a tossup.
Are you looking forward to doing any water activities?
I want to go snorkeling, for sure. I've been told the water is freezing, though. Coach Stock actually told us we are going to a water park one day while we're there. I guess some of the guys have enjoyed it in the past.
What's your favorite beach activity?
Just hanging out and listening to music.
