MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – Only two home matches are left in the regular season for Middle Tennessee women's tennis, including a match against Alabama A&M on Saturday at 1 p.m.

The Bulldogs bring a record of 3-12 to Murfreesboro, with wins over Savannah State, Arkansas Pine-Bluff and Grambling State.

Alabama A&M suffered a 5-2 setback on Thursday at North Alabama. Early in the season, Auburn swept the Bulldogs, 7-0. The only common opponent between the Blue Raiders and Bulldogs is UAB. MT took down the Blazers, 4-0 in mid-February, but the UAB got the best of Alabama A&M, 4-0, a month later.

"It's good to be back with the team after being out 10 days or so with my wife who gave birth to Ella, our new baby girl," MT head coach Charlie Ramsay said. "We are going to work hard and try and prepare as best we can for the end of the season and the conference tournament."

MT will host the 2016 Conference USA Women's Tennis Championship at the Adams Tennis Complex. Four league teams are ranked in the ITA's top-75, including No. 44 FIU, No. 54 Rice, No. 62 Old Dominion and No. 73 LA Tech. The 14 team, single elimination tournament will be April 21-24.

"This team is capable of beating anyone in our conference," Ramsay added. "We just need to keep gaining confidence in every match and every practice."

Live stats will be available for the match, and updates will be posted on Twitter, @MT_WomensTennis.
