Nyamadi 10th in the Decathlon

EUGENE, Oregon – Atsu Nyamadi finished his final five events of the decathlon in a Blue Raider uniform, finishing 10th with 7,709 points at Hayward Field.
Nyamadi opened the day in the 110-meter hurdles and finished 11th in 14.82, earning 871 points. The Ghana native followed his 110-meter hurdle performance with a fourth-place finish in the decathlon. Nyamadi earned 764 points.
In the next two events, Nyamadi went from the lowest to the highest finish. The senior earned the lowest finish of the decathlon, finishing 21st in the pole vault after clearing 3.90 meters (12-9.5).
The Ghana native then notched his best finish of the decathlon in the javelin, placing first in 66.96 meters (219-8).
Nyamadi closed out the decathlon with the 1,500 meter, racing to 11th in the two-lap race in 4:39.39.
Middle Tennessee continues competition at the NCAA Championships Friday in the men's 800 meter and the heptathlon.
