Blue Raider responsible for two points for Paraguay

Middle Tennessee men's tennis player Ayed Zatar Cordero
once again represented his home country of Paraguay in the Davis Cup over the weekend, where he was responsible for two of his team's five points in a shutout win.
Paraguay met Puerto Rice in the play-off round in the Americas region of Group II of this year's event, earning the victory by a score of 5-0. Zatar was atop the singles lineup, where he took down Sebastian Arcila in four sets, 6-3, 4-6, 6-3, 6-1.
The Blue Raider was also part of the top doubles pair for Paraguay, as he and partner Diego Galeano defeated the top duo from Puerto Rico, 6-2, 6-2, 6-2.
Zatar improved to 5-1 in singles for his Davis Cup career and is now a perfect 5-0 on clay courts in the event. He also holds a 2-1 mark in doubles action. Paraguay has yet to drop a match to Puerto Rico, improving to 3-0 all-time against them in Davis Cup play.
A member of the Conference USA Second Team Singles and First Team Doubles lists, Zatar will begin his sophomore campaign when he returns to Murfreesboro.
