Men's Hoops to be honored at Reese Smith Field Tuesday

Day will be recognized as National True Blue Day
MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – The Middle Tennessee men's basketball team will be honored Tuesday, April 18 at the Blue Raider baseball game against Vanderbilt following their second consecutive trip to the NCAA Tournament Second Round.
The day will also become recognized as National True Blue Day, a day for Blue Raider students, fans and alumni to share their support for the university and Middle Tennessee athletics with the Blue Raider baseball and men's basketball teams at Reese Smith Jr. Field. Fans across the country are also encouraged to wear their True Blue colors on April 18 to show their support.
Members of the 31-5 Conference USA Champion Blue Raider men's hoops team will be in the stadium concourse signing C-USA Championship posters for fans beginning at 5:00 p.m. The team will be recognized on field prior to the game with rising senior Giddy Potts delivering the evening's honorary first pitch.
The Middle Tennessee Student Government Association is also hosting a tailgate before the game, scheduled to begin at 4:30 p.m. on the lawn outside the stadium. Free food and t-shirts will be available and the men's basketball championship trophy will be on site for photo opportunities. Inflatables will also be present for children.
A limited number of signed championship posters will be raffled off at the game while the Fraternity and Sorority Life basketball attendance winners will be announced during the fourth inning.
First pitch of the contest between the Blue Raiders and Commodores is scheduled for 6:00 p.m.
