Raiders set to Host Annual Invitational

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. –
The Blue Raiders are set to host their annual MTSU Invitational this weekend.

The Blue Raiders will welcome Belmont, Eastern Kentucky and Tennessee State to the Murphy Center for the dual meet on Saturday.
The field events will start at 10:30 a.m. followed by the track events starting at 2:00 p.m.

Saturday's meet will feature three Conference USA athletes of the week including Cecelia Francis, Lamarco Petty and Jacob Patten.

Along with this weekend's annual meet, five Blue Raiders will travel to Winston Salem, N.C. to compete in the Camel City Classic. Agnes Abu and Abike Egbeniyi will compete in the women's 800-meter race while Kigen Chemadi, Jacob Choge, and Geoffry Cheruiyot will race in the men's 3,000-meter event.

The Blue Raiders will return to action on next weekend on Friday, Feb. 9 and Saturday, Feb. 10 to compete at Vanderbilt in the last meet before the Conference USA championship.
