Aucker, Dennis named to All C-USA, All-Academic Team

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – Middle Tennessee landed two players on the 2018 InTouch Credit Union C-USA Baseball All-Academic team, as announced by the conference office today.
Senior Aaron Aucker and junior Austin Dennis each landed a spot on the 11-man team. In fact, Middle Tennessee was one of just two schools to have two players on the all-academic squad, joining UAB.
Austin Dennis is one of three repeat performers on the squad after earning All-Academic recognition as a sophomore in 2017.
Dennis turned in another stellar year in the classroom and on the field for the Blue Raiders. He posted a 3.72 GPA in management, while also turning in a .345 batting average, which was second on the team.
Dennis led the Blue Raiders in total hits (79), runs scored (62) and stolen bases (25 of 29) in 2018. He also delivered 19 extra-base hits with 11 doubles, three triples and five home runs.
Aucker earned a spot on the team after turning in one of the best all-around campaigns in C-USA. Aucker fashioned a 3.4 GPA in biology and also was named CoSIDA All-Academic All-District.
Aucker was also outstanding on the field, leading C-USA in RBI with 71, and his 14 home runs were second in the league. Aucker turned in a .340 batting average and also belted 18 doubles.
