#TRUE Blue Summer Tour kicks off Thursday

MURFREESBORO - The Blue Raider marketing team and the entire athletic department is set to kick off the 6th Annual #TRUE Blue Summer Tour starting July 26th. The goal of the #TRUE Blue summer tour is to connect with the community and drum up excitement about the 2018-19 athletic season. At each stop, there will be season ticket information, posters, schedule cards and various MT Athletics promotional items.

July:
26th- MYP Social @ 5:30 pm – 7:00 pm (Hendrix Stadium Club)
Join the Murfreesboro Young Professionals for their monthly Networking Social. For the July session, Middle Tennessee Athletics will host the event in the Jeff Hendrix Stadium Club.
30th – Blue Raider Kids Club launch
2018-19 Blue Raider Kids Club registration opens up for the upcoming athletic season. The Exclusive Blue Raiders Kids Club is back and even more ELECTRIC this year. Blue Raider Kids Club is open to all Blue Raider fans 12 years old or younger. Membership is ONLY $10 per child and runs from August 1, 2018 through May 31, 2019. CLICK HERE, to join.
August:
1st, 8th, 15th, 22nd, 29th of August @ ALL DAY (Lightning's Locker Room powered by Textbook Brokers)
Receive 20% off regular price MTSU gear every Wednesday during the month of August at Lightning's Locker Room. Special will be available for both in-store and online.
On August 1st, Head to Textbook Brokers to check out the newly renovated store. There will be free cakes, chips, and drinks for all customers. Also, make sure to pick up the 2018 MT Football poster.

The MT Marketing squad will hit the street to distribute 2018 fall sports schedule posters and schedule magnets to local businesses.
9th – BRAA Appreciation Dinner @ 7:00 pm (Cannonsburgh Village)
The Blue Raider Athletic Association will hold its annual Appreciation Dinner to honor the loyal membership and kickoff football season. This is an exclusive event for BRAA members only. For more information about becoming a BRAA member, CLICK HERE.
18th- Alumni Pig Skin Pregame Event @ 6:00 pm (Steel Barrel Brewery)
Join MTSU at one of the newest venues in the Murfreesboro area, Steel Barrel Brewery! The Pigskin Pre-Game is a football season kick-off & scholarship fundraiser. All proceeds raised at Pigskin Pre-Game benefit the Alumni Legacy Scholarship, which is awarded to children or grand-children of MTSU Alumni. 19th- Fan Day @ 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm (Floyd Stadium)
Come to the field of Floyd Stadium for an afternoon full of fun. This event will allow Blue Raider fans the opportunity to meet players and coaches from the football, soccer and volleyball teams. Fans will be able to get autographs, pick up their 2018 posters and schedule cards, play on the inflatables, check out local vendors, and enjoy live music by Everyday People, a favorite band of the Nashville/Murfreesboro community. While supplies lasts, there will also be free food and drinks for all to enjoy. The Blue Raider ticket office will be on-site for fans to purchase season tickets and the Blue Raider Athletic Association will also be set up to answer questions and sign up new members.
23rd – Business Before Hours @ 7:30 am – 9:00 am (Jeff Hendrix Stadium Club)
MT Athletics, The Rutherford Chamber of Commerce, and United Way have teamed up again for their annual Business Before Hours event. Head to the Jeff Hendrix Stadium Club for an informal, social networking event. Listen to guest speakers and meet other business professionals from across Rutherford County!
25th- Convocation & President's Picnic @ 5:00 pm (Murphy Center & Floyd Stadium)
University Convocation marks the beginning of a new academic year for MTSU students. Students and their families can come hear remarks from Bryan Stevenson, the author of the MTSU summer reading book, Just Mercy: A Story of Justice and Redemption, President Sidney McPhee, Vice President Debra Sells, and the SGA President. Learn about traditions, hear the Band of Blue perform, and help us celebrate the beginning of a new year.
The President's Picnic will immediately follow Convocation, and is a great time to eat and mingle with fellow students, President McPhee, MTSU administrators, and special guest Bryan Stevenson.
28th/29th - Raider Traitor Video Shoot @ ALL DAY (MTSU campus)
Be on the look for your Blue Raider student-athletes as they storm the campus to make sure everyone is dressed properly! Don't get caught on campus wearing another school's apparel or else.
September:
7th - Friday Night on the Square @ 6:30 pm (Rutherford County Courthouse Lawn)
Join the entire MTSU community for a #TRUE Blue Night on the Square. This free event will not only feature live music, but will also have a special touch of blue to highlight the night as we prepare for our home opener against UT-Martin the next day!
