Volleyball Treks Down I-24 For Midweek Clash

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – Middle Tennessee volleyball (3-6) treks down I-24 for a midweek clash versus in-state foe Chattanooga (4-6) on Wednesday in the Maclellan Gym.
Middle Tennessee Leads All-Time versus Chattanooga, 15-12
The match marks the 27th meeting between the Blue Raiders and the Mocs, with Middle Tennessee leading the all-time series 15-12. However, Chattanooga has the advantage over the Blue Raiders, winning the last two times the teams have met.
Hampton Inn-vitational Recap
The Blue Raiders picked up a pair of wins at the Hampton Inn-vitational last weekend, toppling Quinnipiac and Coppin State. The match versus Quinnipiac marked the first five-set match for Middle Tennessee this season.
Junior duo Brienna Tankesley and Dora Peonia earned All-Tournament honors after their performances this past weekend in Rhode Island. Tankesley inked 35 digs to average 2.91 digs per set for the Blue Raiders while Peonia recorded 39 kills and 21 digs over three matches.
Similarly, freshman outside hitter Samira Lawson Body recorded her first collegiate double-double, inking 13 kills and 10 digs over Coppin State.
