Raiders tee off spring season Monday in Houston

Burris returns to bolster Blue Raider lineup
THE WOODLANDS, Texas – Head Women's Golf Coach Chris Adams leads the Blue Raiders back into battle for the first time this spring as her squad tees off Monday at the Icon Invitational hosted by Houston.
Middle Tennessee is one of 16 teams in the field at The Woodlands Country Club, a Par 72, 6,392-yard course. In addition to host school Houston, the Blue Raiders will see Conference USA foes Southern Miss, North Texas and UTSA as well as in-state rival Memphis.
Rounding out the field are Baylor, Clemson, Kansas State, Kent State, Purdue, SMU, TCU, Texas A&M, Texas State and Texas Tech.
MT's senior duo of Hanley Long and Jenna Burris will once again lead the Blue Raider lineup after Burris missed a portion of the fall due to injury.
Joining the two upper classmen are sophomore Sophie Burks, freshman Catherin Caudill and sophomore Savannah Quick.
The Blue Raiders will play 36 holes on Monday beginning with an 8:00 a.m. shotgun start.
