MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – Conference USA released Monday afternoon its all-conference team members for the 2018-19 season, with Middle Tennessee guard Antonio Green named to the league's third team.
Green is averaging 18.3 points per game, ranking fifth among his league peers, and has collected 4.0 rebounds and dished out 1.4 assists per outing on the season.
"Antonio has spent countless hours in the gym this season working on all areas of his game," Head Coach Nick McDevitt said. "His hard work all year long shows in his numbers and he is extremely deserving of the recognition as one of our league's best players this season."
His 104 3-pointers made on the season rank second in C-USA and have shattered the previous Blue Raider single season record of 85, set last season by Giddy Potts. His stellar 87.4 percent conversion rate from the free throw line also ranks second in the league.
The sweet-shooting junior is also one of just 15 players in the 23-year history of Conference USA to make 100 3-pointers in a single season.
A Tupelo, Miss., native, Green has led Middle Tennessee in scoring in 20 of 31 contests this season and boasts 29 double-digit scoring games, 16 20-point games and a pair of 30-point games including a career-high 31 at Marshall on Feb. 16.
Green's selection makes him the ninth Blue Raider to earn all-league honors in six seasons since Middle Tennessee joined Conference USA.
