Blue Raiders Notch Three Top-15 Finishes at the Penn Relays

PHILADELPHIA, Penn. – Three Blue Raider relay teams claimed top-15 finishes during the second day of the Penn Relays on Friday with two relays finishing within the top-five.
Middle Tennessee claimed second-place in the 4x400 preliminary round, crossing the line at 3:07.25. The relay squad qualified for the Championship Individual tomorrow afternoon at 2:45 p.m.
Meanwhile, the men's 4x100 relay team claimed an 11th place finish on Friday afternoon, qualifying for the college final on Saturday.
On the women's side, the relay team claimed fifth in the college women's sprint medley championship of America invitational. The team claimed the fifth-place mark after claiming a time of 3:51.42.
The team will return to the track tomorrow to round off the Penn Relays.
Penn Relays | Day One Recap
After the first day of the Penn Relays, the Middle Tennessee women's 4x400 relay team qualified for the finals after claiming ninth-place on Thursday afternoon. The team qualified for the championship round after crossing the finish line with a time of 3:41.14.
The women's 4x400 relay team will compete in the final round in Philadelphia on Saturday afternoon at 2:30 p.m.
Meanwhile, Joice Jebor represented the team as the first Blue Raider to compete as an individual in the women's 5,000-meter race. Jebor notched a 39th place finish, crossing the line with a time of 17:24.22.
On the men's side, Lebo Mosito placed 12th in the men's 5,000-meter on Thursday evening. Mosito posted his finish after crossing the line with a time of 14:16.56.
The Blue Raiders will return to the track tomorrow afternoon to continue competing in the Penn Relays.
