CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Middle Tennessee put forth a tremendous effort in the second day of C-USA pod competition but Old Dominion was too much as the Blue Raiders dropped a hard-fought 4-1 decision. The last Blue Raider loss came against Oregon on March 7th.

After the Monarchs led 3-0, Edge continued to battle and keep MT alive on court five taking the match in straight sets. Chris Edge used his passion and ace serves to earn the Blue Raiders their only point of the match.

The Blue Raiders did not take the first point of the match. After Max Rauch/Francisco Rocha fell on court 3 6-4. The No. 67 ranked duo Tom Moonen/Chris Edge knotted things up on court one but the Monarchs broke twice to take the point.

In singles, Gonzalo Morell and Pavel Motl both forced a third set but was unable to finish when ODU clinched the win on court three.
