Perfect Monday for the Raiders

Middle Tennessee stays undefeated after topping New Mexico and Austin Peay
MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – Middle Tennessee swept Monday's competition with victories over New Mexico, 4-0, and Austin Peay, 7-0, at the Adams Tennis Complex.
In the first matchup against New Mexico, Middle Tennessee jumped out to a quick start with the doubles point win. The duos of Pavel Motl and Stijn Slump and Chris Edge and Tom Moonen won their matches, 6-4.
The Blue Raiders wasted no time in the singles matches with Chris Edge getting the win over New Mexico's Sergio Molina (6-2, 6-2).
Pavel Motl followed up Edge's win with win of his own (6-4, 6-2) over Rafael Abdulsalam. Slump was the next Raider to finish after his defeat of Dominic West (6-2, 6-2).
Slump's victory clinched the match for the Raiders.
In the second match of the day against Austin Peay, the Raiders changed the lineup but once again earned the doubles point with freshman Patrick Kristensen and senior Max Rauch winning (6-1). On the second court Pavel Motl and Sean Presson clinched doubles with a (6-2) victory.
Rauch stayed undefeated on the day, earning the second singles win against Austin Peay with his win over Julius Gold (6-0, 6-1). The second singles point came off the racket of freshman Patrick Kristensen for his first win as a Blue Raider over Jacob Lorino (6-2, 6-1).
No. 76 Chris Edge stayed perfect throughout the weekend (3-0) for the Raiders after defeating Anton Damberg in outstanding fashion (6-2, 6-1). The coaches agreed to play out the rest of the matches. Another freshman also earned his first victory, Sean Presson swept up (6-1, 6-1) Oliver Andersson. Senior Tom Moonen finished out his match against Christian Edison (6-2, 6-4) to complete the 7-0 sweep.
Up next, Middle Tennessee heads on the road to the Razorback Invite on January 25th and 26th.
