Gulf Coast Showcase makes adjustments to schedule

ESTERO, Fla. - With multiple teams out of the Gulf Coast Showcase due to COVID-19 related issues, Middle Tennessee will now open its season on Thursday with an adjusted schedule for opening week.

Middle Tennessee's previously scheduled opener against Akron will be canceled due to COVID-19 test results within the Zips program, while Indiana State and East Carolina have also dropped out to leave the tournament at just five teams.

The Blue Raiders will now face Omaha on Thursday at 11:00 a.m. ET/10:00 a.m. CT before concluding their shortened week in Estero against in-state foe East Tennessee State on Friday at 11:00 a.m. ET/10:00 a.m. CT.

Both of Middle Tennessee's games in the Gulf Coast Showcase remain scheduled to be live streamed on FloHoops.com.
