Latorre signs with Middle Tennessee
MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – Middle Tennessee continues to stockpile its frontcourt with talented prep standouts as Lady Raider head coach Rick Insell has announced the addition of another stellar forward.
Anabel Latorre, a 6-foot-3 forward from Zaragoza, Spain has signed with the Lady Raiders, becoming the third international player to ink with Middle Tennessee in the 2020 class.
Latorre joins forwards Jada Grannum, a 6-3 forward from Mississauga, Ontario, and Kseniia Kozlova, a 6-4 forward from Moscow, Russia as incoming freshmen.
"We are excited to add Anabel to our Lady Raider family," Insell said. "Anabel brings size, skill and physicality to our forward position along with great experience that she has got playing throughout Europe the past several years. I am glad that she made the choice to join our program. I love the depth we will have in the forward and post positions as we enter into next season."
Latorre attended John Madejski Academy where she averaged 11.3 points ad 9.1 rebounds as a senior. She averaged 13 points ad 12.6 rebounds as a junior.
The heralded Latorre was an All-WEABL First Team Southern Conference selection, as well as WEABL Player of the League Round 8, WEABL Player of the League Round 9 and WEABL Player of the League Round 10.
