Blue Raiders Earn United Soccer Coaches Team Academic Award

MURFREESBORO, TN – Middle Tennessee women's soccer was awarded the United Soccer Coaches Team Academic Award for the 2019-20 academic year, the organization announced on Thursday. Teams must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher to be eligible for the award.
Middle Tennessee is one of 556 women's college teams to receive the award as MT finished with a 3.36 GPA. The Raiders earned the honor for the 19th-straight time in program history.
10 other Conference USA squads received the award – Charlotte, Florida Atlantic, LA Tech, Marshall, North Texas, Rice, Southern Miss, UAB, UTSA and WKU. Each team finished with a GPA of 3.21 or better.
United Soccer Coaches annually celebrates the academic achievements of college soccer teams whose student-athletes collectively demonstrate a commitment to excellence in their studies over the course of a full academic year.
College Team Academic Award recipients are active members of the United Soccer Coaches College Services Program with a composite grade point average of 3.0 or better on a 4.0 scale for all players on the roster for the 2019-20 academic year.
