MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – Kayla Henley has been selected to the Volleyball Preseason All-C-USA team, as announced Thursday afternoon by the league office. She is one of 12 players to make up the 2020-21 list, as voted on by the conference's head coaches.
In 2019, Henley became the second player in program history to receive C-USA All-Freshman Team honors. After piecing together a stellar freshman season, she finished third on the team in kills with 202, third in blocks with 53, and fifth on the team in digs with 158. She also collected double-digit kills on 11 occasions.
The conference also released its coaches' poll on Thursday, where the Blue Raiders were selected to finish fifth in the East Division in head coach Chuck Crawford's fourth season at the program's helm. Reigning C-USA Champion, WKU was chosen as the favorite to win the conference.
The Blue Raiders are set to open the 2020-21 slate with home and away matches against Lipscomb on Jan. 22 and 24.
