Lady Raiders fall to ETSU, 6-1

BRISTOL, Tenn. – The Middle Tennessee women's tennis team fell on the road to ETSU Buccaneers Saturday afternoon, 6-1.
The Lady Raiders (0-3) dropped their third-straight match of the season. ETSU (2-2) took the doubles point with wins at the No. 1 and No. 3 spots.
Muskan Gupta and Lilly-Sophie Schmidt dropped their first doubles match of the season, falling to Pascual-Larrinaga and Carvajal, 6-0. Lee Barnard and Love-Star Alexis fell to Morales and Gorbunovaon Court 3, 6-2.
The Bucs took three of the four singles matches that finished to close out the match.
Senior Lee Barnard grabbed the lone point for Middle Tennessee on Court 2, defeating Morales at the No. 2 spot, 6-2, 6-3. The senior has now won seven singles matches this year.
Alexis, the No. 6 singles player, fell to Elizarraras in three sets, 4-6, 7-5, 1-0 (10-7). Middle Tennessee also fell in three sets on Court 1 and 4, as Burrows fell to Bakhodirova, 2-6, 6-3, 6-2 and Gupta fell to Alfaro, 6-3, 4-6, 6-3.
UP NEXT: Middle Tennessee heads home to host four teams at the Adams Tennis Complex starting with Kennesaw State on Friday at noon.
