Two-time West Tennessee Player of the Year picks Blue Raiders
MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – Blue Raider Women's Golf added another high school standout to the 2021 signing class this week as in-state product Karson Adkins signed her National Letter of Intent with Middle Tennessee.
Adkins comes to Murfreesboro from Savannah, Tenn., and attended Adamsville High School, leading the Cardinals to back-to-back state runner-up finishes in 2019 and 2020.
"I'm excited and looking forward to having Karson join the team," Head Coach Chris Adams said. "She is a great athlete and I know she will work very hard to be competitive at this level. She also has a great personality that will allow her to fit in great with this team."
Adkins is a four-time winner of both her district and regional tournaments and earned her highest finish in the state tournament as a senior, claiming fourth place in her final high school campaign.
A four-time All-State performer, Adkins was also named the West Tennessee Player of the Year as a freshman and again as a senior.
In addition to earning four varsity letters in golf playing for her mother, Coach Christy Adkins, Karson also earned two letters in cheerleading and one in basketball while at Adamsville. Adkins intends to major in Biology upon enrolling at Middle Tennessee.
Hailing from the same hometown as former Blue Raider golfer Ashley Haggard, Adkins joins Glasgow native Abbie Lee – who shares her hometown with Blue Raider Hall of Famer Taryn Durham Walker – in Coach Adams' 2021 signing class.
