With the course in cart path only-conditions due to overnight rain and 15-20 mph winds during the day, the full two rounds scheduled for Monday could not be completed before sundown. Tuesday's shotgun start has been moved up to 8:00 a.m. in an attempt to get the remainder of the second round completed in addition to the entirety of the third round.
Coastal Carolina leads the field as a team at 22-over. Caroline Caudill is nine strokes off the individual lead heading into the second day of the event.
COACH ADAMS ON THE ADVERSE CONDITIONS
"Overall we struggled a bit today in handling the gusty winds and colder conditions," head coach Chris Adams said. "This is a tough golf course that calls for a lot of patience, and shots can get away from you pretty easily. We just have to try and stick to the game plan and hit some solid golf shots. Caroline had a great first round with a stretch of six birdies in eight holes. We didn't get done due to darkness, so we have to come out and finish strong before we get the third round started."
